Terms of Service

    By accessing or using the Movee mobile application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

    You must be at least 18 years old and affiliated with a participating university to use Movee. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and current.

    You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

    • •Provide accurate and complete registration information
    • •Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
    • •Not share your account with others
    • •Not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions

    Move Plans

    When you create a Move, the plan (venues, times, and friend list) is shared with the friends you invite. You are responsible for the accuracy of the plans you create. Moves are auto-saved to your journal when the night ends.

    Content License

    By submitting chat messages, photos, activity intel, or other content to Movee, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

    Prohibited Content

    You agree not to submit content that:

    • •Is false, misleading, or defamatory
    • •Violates intellectual property rights
    • •Contains personal information of others without consent
    • •Is obscene, threatening, or harassing

    You agree not to:

    • •Use the Service for any illegal purpose
    • •Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
    • •Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
    • •Interfere with the Service's operation or other users' experience
    • •Submit spam, duplicate, or fraudulent reports
    • •Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

    Movee uses location data to power the live map during active Moves — showing your friends where you are and vice versa. Location sharing is opt-in, friends-only, and only active during a live Move. You may disable location services, but this will limit the live map and venue-proximity features.

    THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:

    • •The accuracy of activity intel, crowd levels, or wait time estimates
    • •Uninterrupted or error-free service
    • •That defects will be corrected
    • •That the Service is free from viruses or harmful components

    Activity intel is based on user-reported data. Actual conditions may vary. Use your own judgment when making nightlife decisions.

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Movee and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or for any other reason. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

    We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dane County, Wisconsin.
